NOT using FSX's  SHARED COCKPIT   -  unfortunately.  :(

The complexities of the PMSG737ngx prevents it from functioning in FSX's shared cockpit mode.

thank you FSMP for the quick response

i guess i will be inviting my friend over has a copilot for many years to come

until if by any chance there is a SHARED COCKPIT  ad on for the pmdg737ngx in the not to distant future

PMDG has said repeatedly they would like to do it, but it is quite a difficult undertaking and would probably take very long.

Yes, somebody says that we should not expect this soon. There are only 2 complex airliners with working shared cockpit, Maddog and DA Fokker(i don't know how stable is fokker, and there is no VC for fokker).

I hoppe we will see PMDG shared cockpit in next 2 years

Hi everybody!

I am a 90% PMDG-B737NGX-flyer (inside FSX).

The other 10% I test fly the Majestic Dash-8-Q400 inside P3D. The yet to be released "Pro"-version promises a "shared cockpit feature".

I wished the PMDG guys or e.g. people from FS2Crew would implement or develop an NGX-"shared cockpit feature" in the near future.

I think this way of co-piloting via internet connection has a great future, especially with emerging technologies like the Oculus Rift...

Greetings,

Claus

Majestic has a buyer on me for just that feature.

P3D "Shared Cockpit" allows MULTIPLE additional pilot to share the plane.

(FSX is limited to just the Plane's Owner, and one additional pilot sharing)

If the Pro Version of Majestic Dash-8-Q400 inside P3D does support MULTIPLE  additional Pilot, it will be a most interesting development, and will certainly get my wallet's attention.  :)

Potentially, Pilot Instructor, Co-Pilot Student,  and  then as many other Student Pilots, all in the Cockpit, with the Students able to switch to be the Co-Pilot Student.

Imagine that in the PMDG 737NGX, ( 777,  etc ) and how much easier FS Pilot training could be in the Sim, if that was the case...

That's the point: cockpit crew interactivity is of big advantage for every group of users.

Education (including ratings), edutainment/infotainment and entertainment are, in my eyes, the groups to be adressed. But somehow LM with it's P3D seems to focus on training only, and by that causes confusion about licensing, especially regarding the FSX migration.

FSX was and is (still sold) an entertainment application in terms of liability. A great amount of FSX users and add on developers are invited on one hand to join P3D as their future haven, on the other hand it is totally unclear which cross over usage is actually allowed...

Greetings,

Claus
