FTX GLOBAL QUERY FOR OTHER ADDONS

Recommended Posts

Should I remove GEX?

Should I remove UTX

Just a query as to which ones if both I can remove no point having them if global does the same thing thanks.

Wayne.

You may remove GEX but you don't have to (although it's a waste of HD space if you keep the program itself installed). You can (should!) keep UTX installed: you only have to disable the night lighting of it.

Can I ask a few further questions??  I have several MSE states installed.  What about those??  Ok to run??  Disable??  Uninstall??  Thanks for letting me intrude a little.

MSE is photoreal and will always take priority over landclass scenery. So if you want to see MSE where you have it, leave it as it is. If you however want to see FTXG where you also have MSE, you need to disable MSE.

GEX is the ONLY addon that you might want to uninstall. But even that is not necessary (FTXG will simply overwrite the GEX textures).

Definitely keep UTX enabled as it makes FTXG look excellent. Just departed out of The Netherlands and was gob smacked by how good it looked with FTXG and UTX Eu.

Yes, FTXG really transforms the Netherlands, even with the same landclass as without FTXG!

NL2000 is photoreal scenery so it will take priority over landclass scenery like FTXG. Don't really know what you meant to ask there though. ;)

FS Genesis is mesh: mountains and so on: the 'bumps' on the globe. Is has nothing to do with FTXG and they can be used together: FTXG will simply put its textures on the FS Genesis 'bumps'!
