Black squares airport vehicles problem?

Recommended Posts

I have a problem with FSX. I can see the wheels from airport vehicles through my aircraft. Anybody know a fix for this?

I already re-installed fsx updated my graphic driver to 320.49 and still have the same problem.

If i turn "aircraft shadows on ground off" the black squares disappear.

Everyone who has seen this effect ended up repairing FSX or reinstalling it.  They say it's a corrupt or missing texture for an effect.

Best regards,

Jim

You might also check the DX10 Forum (don't know if you have DX10 enabled).  They are saying FTX Global is not DX10 compatible and causing little black squares if you have DX10 enabled.

Best regards,

Jim

I'm using dx9 and already did a re-install with no effect. My only options are to disable airport vehicles or disable aircraft ground shadows.

I have no problems with ftx global it was already present before ftx installation.

It is an issue with the materials used on the models and no amount of repairs/re-installs is going to fix it.

Jim Robinson reported some success by removing all of the LODs except 100.

This could have some impact on performance.

Joe

What LOD's?

I have this problem too (maybe a bit of a late response after 3 years xD)

EDIT:

Found the fix!

If using dx10 the toolbox now has an option to patch the models to fix this, which doesn't help the OP I know... but if he asks me I will him have a copy of the said toolbox. Reinstalling fsx doesn't help, its random based on which baggage carts appear.

idk why my link was removed.

Your link was removed because of the way you linked to the flightsim.com library.  The link worked only for you!
