I mean metallic, that was the word I was looking for..

Also, the sticker background isn't as pronounced as seen on your paint, it's just slightly lighter :)

How?

William, the easiest way is to move PMDG_NGX_VC_Checklist.dds to the respective folder containing the repaint you want to add the checklist too. Creating a texture fallback is another possibility and saves a bit of harddisk space if you have more repaints which need that texture.

Awesome! Can't wait till Orbx covers Norway.

Thanks, you are not the only one waiting for it!

Looks great mate. One suggestion.. make the Scandinavian title silverish.. :)

Thanks John. Finally somebody spotted it, I haven't found a satisfying solution for it yet, but I'll see wat I can do. Maybe I'll opt for adjusting the alpha channel, if possible.

Alpha won't work in NGX. Specmaps maybe would.

Getting the metallic look is tricky. I was playing around with it last night. I tried the alpha way that I used on FS9 repaints, but didn't work.. Maybe it is just me, I'll keep trying.

Keep up the good work :)

I'v never really liked the alpha channel option to do bare metal textures, but in this case I'd hoped and prefered to go for that option. The size of the 'Scandinavian' tile and the way it looks on real images is perfect in my eyes to use it.

Unfortunately it doesn't work on the alpha channel of the NGX. The fuselage gets transparent in those areas, I guess a side effect of the transparent window configuration resp. modelling.

I have tried a few different methods in order to recreate a static look, but in my eyes and opinion it simply doesn't look right. Instead I rather prefer the plain grey titles.

I have figued that out too.

I have tried altering or better playing around with one of the spec textures but haven't seen any change or effect yet. But I can't state to be errorfree so far. I am ruling the bump texture files out! I have got do a few more experiments.

Ladies and gentlemen, your input and suggestions are more than welcome.

Hopefully you are more succesful than I am. Everything I have tried so far led to nothing or transparency.

I tried, but couldn't get the alpha to do anything.. I ended up just making it a little metallic (Not perfect..)

Too bad! PMDG definitely took a different approach for the alpha channel on their airplanes. Well... ! Maybe I'll opt for a static variant then, yours looks quite good. I guess it's more than a gradient?

D-ABLB should have the same config as D-ABLF, I guess.

Or as the D-AGEC ;)

As far as i know they are in the same sheme as the D-AGES, but I haven't seen both in real life since :/
