OMG! I've always heard that Russian highways are some of the deadliest in the world. That's why so many of the cars have dash cams. They know a wreck is inevitable and they want the evidence when it happens. Too much vodka!

Holy crap.

Russian. Figures. No wonder they all have cameras when driving. Insurance over there must run sky high.

Wanna have some YouTube fun? Just type in "Russian Road Rage" and click away. Crazy stuff over there.

I have never seen anything that even comes remotely close to that!!!

I can confirm that Russian roads are lethal!

Its literally a white knuckle ride for us westerners once you get onto a road without any markings  :Nail Biting:

An interesting country though, I must admit! If anyone here has an interest in adventures, then Russia is the place for you! I have eaten food in Russia I would have never imagined of eating. Such as; Bear and Horse "Yes Horse!"

Back to topic: its just one of those videos where your just sitting there saying "lol" inside, some seriously awful drivers in this video.

Some very close calls in that sorry mix.

horse? I hear you just have to go to the UK for some Horsey Lasagna..

I've seen a few of these now. As with most stuff on YouTube, including FSX and aviation videos, it's much better without a music soundtrack...why people insist on adding them, I'll never know...but I digress.

One of the most horrifying that sticks in my mind was a black SUV on a slushy/snowy dual carriageway that skidded into a vehicle in the next lane, then across the central reservation (if there even was one) into the path of a juggernaut coming the other way which obliterated the SUV down to the chassis. If you've seen it, you'll know the one I mean.

It's hard to know what causes some of the stuff you see in these videos, but I'd say that failing to match speed to the prevailing conditions and dozing at the wheel are major factors, with alcohol a big contributor to both of these and in its own right.

I have a dashcam in my car and a helmet cam on my bike. Fortunately I have not been involved in anything like the situations on youtube but at least I am protected.

If I am in collision in my car no one will know its there and I will not be telling anyone. At least not until I see what they have put in writing and signed as the truth....then out comes my video!

Well, I thought roads/drivers here in Portugal were bad, but that...

How did the people in those vids survive?  Are Russians made of rubber?? :O

Thanks for posting ;)
