FTX Global, is a global textures upgrade, so you can (should) uninstall all GEX regions that you have, as that covers the same need....

For UTX, you can leave it, (for landclass, coastlines etc), but there are some things that you need to do, that are covered in the FTX Global manual .... (which covers installation and answers your question )

For MegaScenery - where you have MegaScenery installed, it will display instead of FTX Global, as photoscenery always takes priority over generic textures.

Hope this helps a bit

If you want real scenery that depicts the real world in those areas (minus the trees and autogen) then use photoreal or megascenery etc... If you want autogen scenery with ground textures that are not real for the area (approximations) then use ftx global. Easy :)

Hi

Just out of curiosity, are these things answered in a user manual that is available before installation of the product or only afterwards (as is the case with most products) ?

Regards

If you are using GEX and UTX with Prepar3d, be aware that this is not supported by the developer of those products. FTXG is supported with P3d and will replace GEX. If you run into any issues it may be difficult to get support with UTX installed.
