P3D NVIDIA Inspector settings

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if there's are certain settings for P3D or can I use the exact same settings from my FSX profile? Since I am using DX9 in FSX and I think P3D is DX10, I'm not sure if it's optimal to do so.

P3d 1.4 is DX9. When I was using nVidia Inspector to tweak a lot of the settings, I always used an identical template for both P3d and FSX.

The various online tweaking guides make a case for changing a lot of settings with nVidia Inspector to improve image quality, but mostly likely all that will happen is that the IQ will improve slightly and your frame rate will drop. The only thing that I use Inspector for is to run the sims with the frame rate unlimited and in Inspector set VSync to 1/2 the frame rate and limit the frame rate to 30 fps. All that does is reduce the possibility of stuttering.

You don't need NV Inspector with P3D, You can do any basic tweaks through Nvidia control panel if needs be. However, P3D is a totally different beast tweaks wise to FSX, it works straight out of the box
