Not In Data Base

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have just bought and installed the NGX 800/900 package and updated it to SP1C.

I am trying to enter my route from EGPH (edinburgh) to EGKK (gatwick) into the FMS, it lets me enter the airports, the SID and STAR, but I cannot enter the airways, I'm trying to enter UN615 but i get the "not in data base" message.

I have checked the FSX\PMDG\NAVDATA\wpnavrte.txt    and I can scroll down to find this:

Can't help you, I'm afraid. But I must say, I like the avatar you've chosen...

(it even looks rather familiar)

You must enter a waypoint first, otherwise the computer will not know where to start the route.

Try doing the tutorial #1 that came with the airplane. It will get you started on the NGX and teach you the basics.

Already tried putting in the first waypoint of UN615 manually, it recognizes each individual waypoint just fine, but it wont accept the UN615 entry

Gordon

Look in FCOM V2 starting with page 11.40.18.

Assuming you want to fly all the waypoints you listed in the original post, you need to have it set up like this on the RTE page:

VIA           TO

DIRECT     XAMAB
UN615      MATIK

If that's really not working, give me the full route you're trying to enter and I'll go check it.

Got it sorted.

Copied and pasted the entire wpnavrte file into a new blank notepad document and saved it over the original; FMS now recognizes airways.

Strange

Cheers for the input guys
