ORBX NZ Flight plans

Just got NZ North and South from Orbx and I wondered if any kind and clever person had created some flight plans that would enable me to explore these amazing scenery packages?

 

Anyone aware of a site that offered this help?

Nope. But the map in the FTX manual and the Google Earth kmz files may help. And so may the screenshot section of the ORBX forums ...

Queenstown to Milford Sound is one of the most popular routes in a GA aircraft.

 

I tend to fly the PMDG 737-700 a lot with routes between Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown, Dunedin. I have an Air New Zealand repaint for that one.

 

I also fly the Carenado King Air out of the smaller regional airports like Tauranga, Taupo, New Plymouth, Napier, Gisborne, Nelson, Invercargill with the RNZAF livery

 

Sometimes best just to explore the coastline without any real plans and see how far you get, There are so many airports to land at when you get tired.

Anyone who still has the good old FSDiscover installed?

 

You can build flightplans from the POI database of FSD in FSX format. If your GA plane is equipped with a NAV/GPS switchover you can make it follow your FSD flightplan loaded into FSX: Hunting RW Points Of Interest and finding out how ORBX recreated them.

 

And, since Matthew mentioned the location already: addon airport (bundle) FTX NZMF is really worth considering. Check it out in plain NZSI region and compare it to those addon NZMF screenshots ...

I also have this scenery but rarely fly there. Maybe I'll take Ant's Eaglet on a tour shortly.
