FPS will not go above 30!

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

For some strange reason even with target frame rate set to unlimited and just using the trike the FPS go straight 30.0 but will; not go above that.

Before it would go 50 -60 no problems.

I've started a new cfg and also checked Nvidia Inspector and the frame rate limit is set to 'off'

It's strange that it goes to 30.0 and not above.

I've turned everything right down, still no luck. It seem 30FPS is were it want to go.

Anyone any ideas what else would make it 'peak at 30' and not go any higher

Thanks

Clive

Doesn't the v sync also affect the fps? If you can't reach 60, perhaps it goes down to 30. Just guessing though. But you could try altering the Inspector's and/or drivers sync settings for a change.

Yep, check your display settings, see if you happened to set vsync at 30 fps.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

Why go above 30? If it holds at 30 thats perfect if you have 60hz monitor! Seems you have a frame rate limiter set to 30 either external or FSX internal or , if your using something like Nvidia Inspector, FR set to 1/2..
