This is how photoreal/vfr scenery should be done!

Recommended Posts

France VFR has now autogen packs or add-ons that will lay on top of their photoreal scenery to make an extremely realistic looking world. I wish more photoreal scenery makers would somehow incorporate this feature into their existing products. Check the preview out, it looks gorgeous when both are combined.

Would also be great if FTX Global's night lighting can be overlayed on top of photoscenery some how.

Treescapes does the exact same for all Horizon photoreal of England, Wales and so on. Imho it still doesn't look too good without autogen houses... In rural area's it's okay but in cities... yikes.

Wish there was something like this for MegaSceneryEarth in the US though. But this adds both autogen trees and buildings.

Their VFR series already looks superb, but this is another level I must admit. :)

Is that the France VFR stuff?  Seems they have some combined products that have photoreal and autogen and others is just photoreal without autogen.  Never quite sure of what's what.

I believe their "VFR" stuff includes the autogen but it's photo real textures are at a lesser resolution(4m I think).  Then they have the PHOTO HD areas that are at least at 1m but don't include autogen.

But, if you can now buy these autogen packs for their scenery, you can have the best of both - the 1m resolution and the autogen provided in the packs.  It might cost more that way but you get that extra quality/detail in the photo real textures for your money.  I'm not sure though yet as I don't own any of their stuff yet.

I can't tell if the resolution on http://www.francevfr.com/product_vfrhnox.htm

is low or not...but it's amazing.  Watch the video on the page.

I think France VFR has the best photo real I've seen out of anyone else, and they are continually making it even better by coming out with autogen add-on packs that will go over their existing photoreal scenery.
