Best 50 to 60 inch 1080 and higher res for the money?

Featured Replies

I have a 5'x6' storage room in my house and I am staking a claim

that it is going to be my FS room. I currently use the home theatre with a 140" screen

but that involves rolling my sim cockpit in and of a closet. the 5'x6' room might some day

be the home of a NGX cockpit but that will wait till I am retarded, sorry retired

In the mean time I am looking for a 50 to 60 inch hi res monitor. Already spent about $3000

on a Haswell build so its getting harder to justify the expense. Any suggestions of a 50 to 60 inch LCD montor suitable for FSX. Never want to spend more than I have to but don't mind pushing out the boat for the right equipment.

No suggestions?

Go with an LED. It will give off less heat than LCD. I'm not sure where you live but check Sams wholesale club. They have open box buys you can get a good deal on. Also check Best Buy for open box buys too. You can save a lot of money. I just bought a 65" Vizio from Tiger Direct for less than $1000. It is the Vizio M65vse.

I have this one: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8443241&CatId=3820

I got it from BestBuy when they were a closeout. I think I paid $450 about 9 months ago, but it was new in the box.

I love this TV for FSX, even windows looks great on it. I had a Panasonic 42" before this one, but the text was hard to read, and I could never get windows to look good. It was their top-of-line set at the time and I hated it.

Love the Toshiba tho.
