August 10, 201312 yr Great Video Luke, I can see there is some bleeding through on the glare shield next to the ACPT button. Seems more prominent when the lights are on at around 5:30. I'm sure PMDG will sort this out. Your frames aren't that bad! Darren Toogood
August 10, 201312 yr Startup sounds are just awesome. Like the MD11 starting up with the low initial rumble. I just cant used to that FO side though. Go the left Luke. Promote yourself to Captain. You deserve it. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,

I can't leave my right seat though!! :( Awesome vid, how come you got a cabin ready report after liftoff? Still being fine tuned - excuse that. I got some complaints after the trip... --- Thank you everyone for the good response! Now, bed. B) - Luke Pabari
August 10, 201312 yr thans for the vid, I had hoped the runway light effects on the ground would have been as good as the airbus extended does, but it doesn't look like it. Antoine v Heck --- Ryzen 5800X3D, 32Gb DDR4 RAM@1600 Mhz, RTX3090 (24GB VRAM). 2TB SSD - VR with Quest 2 via link cable
August 10, 201312 yr Say Luke, Stop posting videos of real crews on YouTube man! We want to see the PMDG T777 here :LMAO: . Fantastic video Luke, keep 'em coming! Have you been using the ground services a lot? If possible could you post a video for us showing us some of the features in that please? Oh and one other thing - how many hours have you now clocked on this airframe towards it's certification as part of the airliner simulation test :LMAO: ? Happy flying! August 10, 201312 yr Was the auto start system in the aircraft used or not? Because I know in the 747 you arm the start valve wait for some oil pressure and turn of the fuel control switch. Joseph Vannelli
August 10, 201312 yr Was the auto start system in the aircraft used or not? Because I know in the 747 you arm the start valve wait for some oil pressure and turn of the fuel control switch. I think in the 777 you can turn the fuel on immediately after hitting the start knob since FADEC will handle the actual ignition. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
August 10, 201312 yr Very good video Luke! I'm a host and producer of audio every day and the sound on your YT video is amazing! Lot's of people say YT compresses the sound and the video. It doesn't. It compresses the size of the data it needs to deliver to you. 95% of the world wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a VEVO Katy Perry track on YT and the real album rip if you gave them a comparison. Your sound capture ROCKS my friend. You can hear those GEs purr to life. Do you have a cat? If you do, wake her from a sleep one time and see what she sounds like. Now take your cat, and magnify it about 10000 times. She would have a big deep purr now. Now pretend your cat is an engine. Pet it while it's sleeping and you will have the time of your life. This video was the best so far. I know because while you were rolling you were just doing the flow in the cockpit. No fancy camera work. You weren't worried with the best camera angles, or how to get that great boom shot. It was just performance. It was SOP-like. Keep us entertained. Do you feel a weight on your shoulders yet?

August 10, 201312 yr Awesome video thanks Luke, I too was going to ask about the Acpt, Canc and Rjct buttons were for. I'm going to ask now though if they work and can be used on IVAO or are they just for show? Thanks, Jordan McTiffin

Thanks, Hi Jordan, Since im not on the PMDG team don't take my answer as an official one, but considering they aren't simulating the CPDLC/COMM for the initial release, I assume they are just static buttons with no function. Although IIRC, RSR did mention in a post that he would like to get CPDLC/COMM modelled somewhere down the track, where the ACPT, CANC and RJCT buttons would come in handy (They are obviously used to accept or reject instructions from ATC via CPDLC such as "ACA33, climb to F350, report maintaining". August 10, 201312 yr Awesome thanks Luke for the great video! I just love those lights, takes me back to when I flew a BA Level D B777 years back the night atmosphere was amazing B) I think I may just taxi around all night long lol Alaister Kay
August 10, 201312 yr Luke, You have made a really excellent video. One question: The engine start switches have two positions (start and normal). The real ones got two options. Some with (start and normal, too) and some with (start, normal and continuous). Are these options modeled or only the first one? - René Mosek - Future Owner Of: 'The PMDG 747-400 V3' B)
