Do you have system restore active?

If you do, please revert to the state before applying those Windows updates and run FSX again. See what happens...

Main Simulation Rig:

Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti, 1 TB & 500 GB M.2 nvme drives, Win11.

Hi, yeah I already tried that but I cant remember if it was restored to the "before state"

Anyhow now I dont have a restore point going back that far

Im trying to start in safe mode by tapping F8 but takes me to a screen showing boot options that are the same as in the Bios but no safe mode.

this is because there are a few disk storages in your PC. Choose your system drive and keep on hold F8, boot options will appear.
Check the state of each installed updates in Win`s update center. You can uninstall any of them.
