What's the Recommendation

Recommended Posts

Now that we have Global from ORBX, I think the next step is to slap on some fantastic mesh on top.  I was wondering what the community thinks about putting FTX Global with FSGenesis NEXTMap (9.6 m mesh) terrain mesh.  Right now NEXTMap does not cover the whole world but I'm quite sure Justin is going to see about what is left.

So, what do you think?  Is this the way to go?

Sure. Mesh works well with any other scenery addons. Technically you'd be slapping textures on top of mesh. :) FSX by default will display the highest resolution mesh regardless of position in the scenery library, but it's still a good idea to put addons that have their own mesh above fsgenesis(like orbx regions). Typically mesh goes at the bottom of the scenery library but above all the fsx default stuff. FSGlobal Ultimate is a popular product as well(americas, europe and africa, asia and oceania so the whole world is covered). The areas that matter are 10m and the areas that don't (flat) are in lower resolution.
