Problem with engine one throttle

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a problem that is really infuriating me.

After having been able to fly different Versions of PMDG737-800 and -700 for a lot of flights for some reason I do not understand engine one has no throttle after starting the engine.

What can I do to be able to fly again?

I have installed FSX Acceleration, FSUIPC, FSINN and on a second PC ActiveSky Evolution, TOPCAT and FSCommander 9.3.

As hardware I use CH Yoke, Pedals and Quadrant.

The latest Installation was TrackIR, but also with this I was able to fly several times.

Several hours (!) of flight preparation have already been in vain up to now because when I start the engines no.1 will not work.

I have realized that bleed air goes to 0 when I switch it on. Visually the throttle is moved when I move it on the quadrant, but the engine does not respond properly.

Best regards

Michael

Are you using a saved panel state from a previous flight as your start-up situation? I had a similar problem once that was caused by a panel state file that became corrupted.

Try loading the aircraft using the original PMDG cold & dark startup panel state.

Hi Jim,

I am having the exact same problem as we speak in the NGX!

I am using a saved panel state..

But as soon as i load the NGX from the FSX MENU, its already in that saved start up state..

I dont have to press load panel state as its already like that...

What do i do ?

Can you post a screenshot of your entire overhead panel - will help people visualise what is going on

Can you see  the throttles  moving if  you push  your throttles  forward if  not  press e + 1 or  e + 2   I get  this  some times  with my maddog md80   that one of  my throttle  wont  move  till  I press the combination  I said previously   1  being your  left throttle and 2  being  your  right

Thanks for all the replies!

I was not at home for some time so I could not answer earlier.

I followed the suggestions concerning crippled panel states. However no effect with the original panel state.

Now it seems after trying out some situations I found a solution: Starting FSX without TrackIR5 lets me start the engines and both respond to throttle engagement. It sounds strange but it works.

I even was able to start TrackIR after having started the engines. I tried it out at the gate. Hopefully it will work during flight.

I thought about the question why I was able to fly with TrackIR sometimes. It seems TrackIR does not interfere with the 737-700 models. The problems occurred with 737-800.

Does anybody have an idea of a reason for that behaviour?

For a better understanding I attach an Image showing the Overhead panel state. You can see the different pressures of the engine bleed air on the indicator on the right.

On my PMDG 737 800. I have a problem with the rudder going full left deflection as soon as the rudder is activated.

any ideas

Sounds like a calibraton problem.

After two successful flights I can confirm that the problem I described can be avoided by not acitvating TrackIR in the beginning but after the engines have started running.

With a 737-700 I tried whether it would be affected or not. When I started the APU it started but produced neither electricity nor bleed air.

I will start TrackIR later and everything seems OK.

QM- close the crossbleed valve and let the pressures equalize before moving it to auto.

Sorry OPEN

Doesn't help - as the problem comes from outside the simulation model. My workaround with  TrackIR works. ^_^
