I Ask This Question With a Great Deal of Trepidation.....

Featured Replies

I tried to fire up FSX and got the following message: Cannot load files ...dlgdtdtrans.bmp , fldstd.bmp , btnstd.bmp , digalert.bmp , iconinfo.bmp , iconques.bmp , iconexcl.bmp , and

iconstop.bmp       Has anyone ever heard of this? Task Manager says FSX is running, but only a small gray rectangle is visible. I was working on the Airbus Extended, but doubt this has anything to do with it. Any help is appreciated. Am I headed for the dreaded re-install?

Those files are in your FSX/Uires folder ( or should be). Check to make sure they are there.

My stats on that folder are Size: 37.9MB (39,776,723 bytes). 407 files and 8 folders.

The folder contains all the graphics and stuff for the user interface which would explain why when you start FSX you are getting a blank box. If the files are missing the user interface is going to be missing.

Some of those bmp's are used in the opening screens. Located in the uries folder. best to do a FSX repair from DVD
