Are these great times for FSX or what? I've only been into flight sim for a few years, but the number and quality of add ons released this year is amazing and has really given new life to FSX. FTX Global adds amazing textures. FSGRW is a great weather engine. PMDG, Carenado, Accusim, Flight One, et al have or are in the process of releasing some great planes. Oh, and the DX10 fix will be released soon, which has the potential to be a game changer. FTX promises Northern California, Europe land class and airports, and more by year end. And for those so inclined, P3D v 2 is coming. My wallet is lighter, but it's been happy flying this year. I tell my wife it's still a lot cheaper than owning a real plane!

Yep, I agree, some really special work being done at the moment..... we're very lucky!

 

I would substitute FSGRW with Opus, and I wouldn't include Carenado (too safe) in my list, but aside from those, my list reads the same!

 

A new golden age, for sure!
