Is my Geforce PCI or AGP???

Recommended Posts

Guest

Hey,Pardon the ignorance, My Gateway came with a Geforce 4 MX440 128mb, I suspect that it is plugged into a PCI port. Can someone help me confirm if this card is AGP or PCI and what port it is docked to??? Is it possible this is an AGP card connected to a PCI port? If so, if I connected it to the AGP slot I should get better performance right? My system:Gateway P4 2.531gig ddr ramGeforce 4 mx440 128mbIs there a way to check via the properties/settings or the desktop menue? Some of the info I have found:Bus: 4xAGPDirectX version: 8.1 (weird, I installed 9.0a with fs2004)Location: PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0 (this was found in device manager)This is why I am confused, sounds like an AGP card plugged into a PCI slot, can anyone clarify for me??? If this is infact an agp card in an agp slot, can anyone recomment settings to maximize this card? Any help or links to good info is greatly appreciated! Thanks tons!Drew
