It has been 2 months since the last post by the Developer @BBS on Facebook. July the 3rd in fact. I hope this is not PSS revisited.

They've been working hard on releasing a brand new version of the plane. They said they have redone the FDE and FBW along with some upgraded models and a host of other things. When will it be released? Who knows? I've been following BBS from the beginning and usually the longer it is between updates means the better the update will be. I do think they need a little slack though, taking into fact one of the team members lost their wife recently. If they took a break because of that I can totally understand. Their airbus series is flyable at the moment and works decent.... So I say we just wait, give them a little time and we will hear from them soon enough.

Funny, I was thinking exactly the same yesterday.   I had not flown the BBS A330 for months and was on 0.66...... I thought to myself I bet it's on 0.7 or 0.8 by now and went over to their FB page to see it is still 0.66, and very little activitiy.   :(

If one of the guys has lost his wife then it's understandable, and I offer my sympathies.

This alone is a good reason not to buy anything until it's finished.

True. A product could remain unfinished through circumstances beyond the control of the developer.

It's the people (like me, I admit!) who buy unfinished products that are propogating this trait, not those selling.....

If we all stopped buying half baked, unfinished products, the sellers would stop this practice.

It's a penalty for our impatience (and sometimes petulance)....  again, including myself in that.

As long as people buy them there's no reason for developers to stop selling unfinished products.

I hope they will post an update soon otherwise our money gone for nothing :(

Well unlike many other developers this product was released in this state and all who purchased it knew well it was released not being totally bug free. As they are a small team and do not have the resources nor enough time to test everything they let users who wanted to get in on the product early have a go. Is it a bad idea?. I think not. Everyone who bought the plane knew exactly what they were getting and of all developers to complain about for this practice I honestly think they are the last. This plane flies fine! I can get from Point A to Point B with little to no issues; Are there occasional hiccups? Yes. But I get through them, I send them an email or post on a support ticket and move on with life. Of course they are taking long, under any other circumstances I would have believed they were irresponsible for not answering the moment I called upon them but honestly I feel they need a break.

One day after the developer's wife died I had sent an email about a recent update that was made, for some reason my plane would not fly correctly. In less than 2 minutes he had emailed me back asking for my aircraft.cfg and air files so he can fix the issue. I was surprised to even see him working after such a big event that happened to him. But he still was there helping me and others too on the facebook page.

My point is, The FS market is a smaller market that doesn't bring such a big return as it used to. There are not many developers as there has been in the past. We have seen what happened to BBS when it operated as PSS. As crazy as it sounds, we have got to be appreciative of what we have for now. Lets encourage developers to continue developing and not discourage them by complaining about every single thing that goes wrong. All in all, give them some time. Patience is key, things don't happen overnight.

I think we wouldn't be simmers if we weren't impatient. Although, spending 20 minutes in the Lambourne Hold gets me moist at times...

(Nice AXE voice packs btw, works a treat!)

I don't think we "got screwed."  I am quite happy with the A330 as at this stage it is better than another A330 that I used to fly in so many respects.

Thanks for posing this question, Julian, as I'm sitting on the fence with this one to see how it develops, and if it is worth the risk.

I'm not aware that they ever finished the A320?  By the way, did Airsimmer ever finish theirs?
