problem with many things in life today, is if you peddle something enough then people with buy it.

 

I swear in this business a developer could design a flying poo poo on flightsim, young kids with pocket money would then buy it, join the flying poo facebook page and say its amazing.  The designers of the flying poo would then say they have 1000s of satisfied customers.

 

The guy who invented the ringtone app ringtone  that sound like a Cow Mooing or someone farting is now a millionaire,supply and demand... Welcome to social conditioning.

 

If you look at PMDG.. total proffesionals, website looks good, products get tested properly and get fixed when issues happen, yes you pay a bit more, but its high quality product, its run by pros, who under customer service, marketing and dont and wont push out crap and pass it off as gold.   The delay this weekend was handled amazingly and professionally.  Thats how business should be done. Not like these 2 jessies.

 

I remember being holiday in Crete last year in august and the hotel had free wifi, sitting on the balcony i connected up my ipad and read about the crap about the bbs review on Avsim and then I read the bbs response on their facebook page, and how they got banned from the forumn, it showed just how amatuer these muppets are, im not surprised PSS went down the toilet. 

 

 

If one of the guys has lost his wife then it's understandable, and I offer my sympathies.

Great minds think alike Dave :lol:  My concern was the lack of posts up to today. I am trying to come across as sympathetic as well due to Grahams wife passing, So that is at the forefront. However, all we can do is wait and see what happens.

Thanks for posing this question, Julian, as I'm sitting on the fence with this one to see how it develops, and if it is worth the risk.

I don't think we "got screwed." I am quite happy with the A330 as at this stage it is better than another A330 that I used to fly in so many respects.

I agree Robert. It is and I hope will be a good plane. Just concerned that requests for updates go unanswered on FB. As I don't subscribe to FB, I can only read. Maybe some one who has an FB account could find out more.

 

BTW, to all those who say this is what happens when you buy an unfinished addon, I am well aware of the risk involved, and purchased with my eyes wide open. If it should go pear shape, it is my money I have lost.

UPDATE - (as many have been asking ) 

ok .. Mucho disruption due to the Death of my Wife recently, But we are still here and still working on the Airbus A320/A330 Updates.

Some serious problems in VC Compiling (due to added complexity ) But these are now fixed or are being fixed.. 

Systems.. TOTALLY NEW PFD is almost complete in Airinc format. Very smooth and vast increase in Frame rates .. 

so thats a "where we are" right now... More info to follow and Update to be released as soon as we can complete and test it

Are you ridiculous. They're a 2 man team and one of them lost their WIFE. I hope you realize how big of a deal that is. Before that, they were pretty regular with updates. And obviously there's a market for this thing, just because you don't like it doesn't make it 'wrong' perse. Their A330 is still pretty flyable.

I'm very sorry for the devs wife passing. And its amazing that the project is still going. It just indicates that this dev team is very dedicated. I haven't bought their product because I like waiting for finished products but never the less I'm impressed by their dedication. I hope he is coping well. Very sad.

Nope. He has deleted his post but there was one where he said his wife passed away a month or two ago. It was definitely known.

I own the BBS A330.  It is clearly unfinished but they don't claim it to be otherwise.   They are honest about it being unfinished.     I do not fly it just yet but I follow the development and I am sure it wil be the best A330 available when finished.

They are developing both in tandem. They saw there was a need for an A330 and since the systems are similar they decided to develop both products together. They have a different approach to making planes compared to other developers. They release a working beta to the public at a reduced price and we in return get to be part of their beta team helping them to test the plane since they are only a 2 person team. Its different then everyone else but it works for them. They however are not like "other" developers who do nothing with their products in this special beta phase and have horrible support. The only reason we haven't seen any progress in the last months was due to personal issues which is totally understandable under the circumstances. 

 

Even though the planes are unfinished they are flyable. Don't get me mistaken, there are bugs but they aren't showstoppers (in most cases).
