As for my other aircrafts  (737NGX, MD-11, Axe 318/319) this module works perfectly with my new bird .

Hi

 

i am using linda and this 777 module for a long time now. Now i have finished building my own EFIS panel. I used rotary switches for the map mode and range dial. My question is how can i add new functions to the 777 script that it is possible to dial a map mode or range directly - not using encrease or decrease ?

 

I need something like :

 

EFIS CPT MODE APP

EFIS CPT MODE VOR

EFIS CPT MODE MAP

EFIS CPT MODE PLN

 

EFIS CPT RANGE 10

EFIS CPT RANGE 20

EFIS CPT RANGE 40

EFIS CPT RANGE 80

As i am building a two seater home cockpit it would be nice to switch the FO´s EFIS too ...

 

Can anyone help me to get this done ?

installed your latest config add-on

 

If i dial on the panel on the 777, the combo panel responds (the display's)

 

If I turn the knobs on the Combo panel, nothing hapens...

As mentioned on the download thread and in the release notes, LINDA 2.5.7 has not been tested with the MCP1 Combo panel or PDMG 777. You are recommended to use version 1.13 (link on same thread).

I've asked the following elsewhere without success.

Is there a way to read the value of the 777 speed window when the window is displaying speed in Mach#? The command ipc.readLvar("L:ngx_SPDwindow") always returns the value 1 when Mach# is in the speed window, but when the speed window is displaying speed in knots, the returned value is correct. So how can the Mach# speed be read?

The error is coming from a temporary file created by 2.5.7. You just need to delete the identified file config-hid.lus file but be careful to chose the folder.

I'd remove the file and indeed the error is gone.

 

Stilll, the panel isn't working, only the FD switch works.

As I said, we are unable to test LINDA or any aircraft module with the old MCP1 panels - neither I or Guenseli have one. We can therefore not guarantee even 1.13 will work with newer aircraft types. I am sorry but there it nothing we can do to help. The panels are obsolete.

and I did had the 777 also worked woth the panel....

 

I'll just look further 'cause it did work....

Thank you for your understanding. If you had the 777 working before then check the main config-hid.lua file in \fsx\modules\linda-cfg\{aircraft}. The format has changed with the extra functionality in LINDA 2.5.7.  Either restore you backup (you did make one) or failing that you may need to delete it.

I wish I had made a backup.... I can pull out my hair now I didn't

 

I tried searching for the V0.5 of the 777 module on the internet but I can't find it... tried to implement the new module from the site in version 1.11 of Linda but that doesn't work :-(

 

I guess I have to do ithout the combo panel on the 777  :blush:
