ILS landing

Ja, i load the aircraft from CnD and bring it alive. Maybe i try another panelstate. Will post, if the flight from EDDS to EDDM work with ILS on. 

 

Hope they will fix it soon. It's very annoying. But a beautiful bird. :)

Try another panel state, just so we know if it's related to that whole C/D mess that's popped up.  I'll keep an eye on this.

 

...in the mean time:

 

ILS Approach - the landing is a separate matter altogether.  While the autoland function requires the use of an ILS (currently), the ILS is only the approach, and the landing would be an autoland  :wink:

Hi Bernhard,

 

please try olli's suggestion for your next flight.

 

Otherwise try some vectoring approaches without ILS j/k :D

Ok, it worked with panelstate short. It's the bug with the CnD mode. 

 

Good to know.

 

Sorry it's happening, but it gives us more info to pin down this C/D issue.

Ok, other question. Why are there no "Rotate and V2" Callouts? I just hear V1, is this normal?

It may be different at other airlines...but the one I am familiar with:

80kt is PNF call ("eighty knots")

next call is V1 by computer voice

then at Vr..."rotate" by the PNF again

V2 is not called out.

I know, but it would be nice, if i can choose the VR and V2 calls, like in the NGX.

No worries.  I'm just trying to get people to read the intro manual as much as possible, because it answers most of the questions I'm taking so much time answering here...

Ok, it worked with panelstate short. It's the bug with the CnD mode. 

 

Yes it is a known bug with the particular C&D panel state we provided. On power-up the ILS tuning mode will revert to manual.

 

You can get around this by "deleting" the ILS frequency on the NAV RAD page. This will reset the manual mode. Normally the ILS frequency will then display "PARK".

If you select an ILS approach on your flight plan the ILS will autotune to the correct landing rwy frequency in due time.

 

Also note that on power up both VORs will be in manual mode and will not autune. You can force autotuning by "deleting" the VOR frequencies.

 

Both issues (ILS & VOR) will be fixed in the coming hotfix/service pack

I've done 2 flights and had this from cold and dark start up on both

No.. also can't handle the "Park" on the NAV RAD page. Will the Park automaticly turn into the frequency of the ILS RWY i set in the FMC? When will it switch to the frequency? 

 

Can't find it in the manual.. sorry.
