Carenado Caravan / general GNS430 question

Recommended Posts

So I have quite a few carenado planes, and only recently after discovering FSeconomy have I started REALLY flying them.

On some of them equipped with the GNS 430 - how do I get into the moving map? I've been looking all over the manuals, etc..

I don't know which planes you have but on the Cessna 210 Centurion, click on the words "Default Nav" above the lower right hand knob. See Carenado GNS430 Users Guide.

Took me a while to figure that one out too. It seems natural to look for a switch or button, but it's really just a spot on the GPS unless you really zoom in.

And in real life there has to be a button or switch. So why not have it visible in this plane like other buttons?

Wow. Thanks man. I was seriously on the ramp for a couple days trying to figure it out. Never even thought of that.

I can't take credit for figuring it out actually! It's in the manual (Carenado GNS430 Users Guide)
