Caution Light

Recommended Posts

Morning gents,

I have an illuminated caution light on the panel. I cant reset it by pressing it and I cannot seem to locate what is incorrect. I followed the checklists and checked all the systems and it appears to be normal. Is there a menu or screen I am missing that will show me what I may have missed? Thanks.

It's when you load up from the cold & dark state, it's being fixed. Alternatively you could just shut everything down and save that panel state, which will fix the issue (and give you cold and dark). As a second alternative you could avoid using the cold and dark state, it isn't very realistic to use it anyway, try using the LONG state.

Ok. My 1st time loading it from cold and dark and that explained it. I was just worried that maybe I missed a step or something and was going to have a massive failure during my flight. Thanks for the quick answers.

Long states are rare, especially in heavies.

Its all good. I just wanted to more be sure that I didnt miss a step during startup that caused the caution light to be illuminated. If I have to use a different panel state that is no big deal. I generally dont ever start with cold and dark on a regular basis, but when I get a new aircraft I find it to be very helpful to start that way several times to get used to the systems and procedures.

Closer to C&D than short though.
