American Airlines- no more F100's?

Hey everyone, on my way back from vacation (on an AA F-100), after we had arrived, a passenger was having some trouble with an overhead compartment. An FA came to help her out, and said to her "thank god we're getting rid of these planes". Is there any truth to this?

yes.fokker went out of business and thus parts are getting harder and harder to obtain. they'll be parked in the mojave soon.

lower paid pilots flying in crj's and erj's for regional airlines and not aa mainline.richjust trying to be a lower paid crj/erj fo
