Accu-Feel vs Accu-Sim

Recommended Posts

Sorry, if this has been asked before, but since the 172 is my first accu-sim aircraft.  Should I turn off Accu-Feel when flying the 172?  Or is Accu-Feel and Accu-Sim two different animals?

Thanks,

Ernie

Two different things.  Accu-sim is sort of an advertising catch phrase (I can hear the howls of protest already) for their line of excellent simviation products.  Accu-feel is a separate add-on available for use with any flight sim add-on airplane regardless of brand.  It has a variety of settings available so you can tweak sound effects and levels for things like brake squeal and drag rumble (my fave).  If anything, turn up some of the various levels of Accu-feel and enjoy the sound efects

I think I recall that Accu-feel was derived from the original Accu-sim component of A2A aircraft. It was then offered for sale as a utility for other aircraft. And a mighty fine one at that. So keep it onboard for your other addon aircraft.

Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

As I understand it, Accu-Sim applies real world handling to aircraft systems and flight performance.  Accu-Feel is a program that provides extra sound effects and dynamic effects such as wind turbulence, bumpy ground and water handling, but does not change how the aircraft's systems are modeled nor does it change flight models.  They are two very different programs.  I have only Accu-Feel, but I expect you can use Accu-Feel with Accu-Sim since they change different things in the sim.

Accu-feel improves, and can be used with, any sim airplane.  Open the menu bar (top of view when in windowed mode) and you'll find it under the "Add-ons" over on the right end.
