Display of alternate airports

In real life and if I recall on some of the beta shots, alternate airports beyond the set range of the ND were displayed with an arrow showing which direction they were off the screen. Anyone know if this is modelled and if so, how to display it.

Have your range on nd set to 640 and if you input alternates further away then visible they will show with an arrow
