TAI ON ALT in the FMC

Featured Replies

Hello,

what is the correct entry or format for the TAI ON ALT in Descent Forecast page of the FMC? When I enter FL150 or 15000 I get an "Invalid Entry"...

With the NGX it's upper FL and lower FL the TAI is to be used so something like 080/060. Give this a try.

Give this a try.

It's only ON for the 777.  One of the many subtle differences there just to throw people off.

Hello guys, I tried many variations to enter the altitudes... I don't know if PMDG hasn't modelled it or perhaps it is a bug.

Should I contact PMDG? Or can someone from PMDG join this topic?

regards Patrick

I was in contact with PMDG and I reported this. After two days, they answered and said it is an bug.

I also struggle here... have to check the docs...

FCOMv2, page 11.43.7 (pdf page 1067) reads:

(4) Thermal Anti Ice ON Altitude (TAI/ON ALT)

Enter the altitude where anti-ice is first turned on during the descent.

Unfortunately this (neither the figure) gives us the format.

But also I tried eg. 120 and 12000, both did not work.

Kyle, your attitude is mysterious, I am sorry.

Did you succeed in entering something into the field? Thank you in advance.
