RAAS not working

Recommended Posts

- I have RAAS activated in the FMC config menu

- I have no other RAAS versions installed for other aircraft

- I don´t have FS2-Crew products installed..

But it´s not working :(

Any Idea? Do I have to reinstall the T7?

Thanks for your help!

Edit:

tried a reinstall - no success..

checked the roaming RAAS folder, found a log file:

Are you using a surround sound system, properly configured? There has been a suggestion that RAAS may be going to the rear channels in such a case, and not getting played. Could be a bug, or could just be a config issue.

Also, it can't hurt to r-click on Simconnect in control panel and select Repair.

Hi, thanks for your answer, no, I don´t have a surround system, but it looks like it´s an issue with simconnect.

Which control panel do you mean? Where shall I right-click? On the file itself? Where, in any FSX Menu?

Thanks for your help!

Windows Control Panel. Where you uninstall software. Find Simconnect, carefully, and then right-click on it and carefully select the Repair option.

That might help, given the RAAS error thrown in the log. Just guessing here, though; the RAAS folks might be your best hope, they have a section on Avsim.

or something is whacky with his DLL.XML.

Shouldn't be. I mean - once RAASPRO.dll is loaded, dll.xml does not enter into equations - unless you use a support .dll that might end up not being loaded - but that is not how you do it, is it?

Berni - good that it helped. Looks like the .dll was bust, maybe some other addon tried overwriting it? I don't know.

I just noticed my RAAS was not working either.  It is enabled in the FMC, but I remembered I lowered the sound levels in the FMC to 10% so I can hear ATC better in VATSIM.  I moved the sound to 50% and now I hear the RAAS.  I am not sure if this is a fix for someone else, but I heard nothing for months and now I do with this simple fix.
