RAAS Causes FSX to crash

Recommended Posts

I get this error when I start FSX. I just bought the PMDG 777 and only got this error after the 3rd time of starting FSX to fly the 777. I have no other add on. If I hit no then FSX will load normally. But if I hit yes, it causes FSX to crash.

Try re-installing the 777.

And try to figure out why it worked the first two times, but not the 3rd.

You must have done something different on the 3rd go, or something changed on your system.

I have already tried re-installing it. and I have not changed the way i started FSX any of the times. I will try and re-install tonight, and see if that works.

Another user reported that Microsoft Security Essentials was causing the problem for him.

He excluded the FSX folder and RAAS functionally normally after that.

It was weird because I run MSE too and I've never had this issue.

Perhaps that's an area to look into.

Cheers,
