October 2, 201312 yr Author If you're still getting the "No .ini file--manual waypoint entry only" message like you posted in #37 above, it means the program is not finding the QuantumLeap.ini file. Make sure you haven't written it out as QuantumLeap.ini.txt with a hidden .txt extension. If you have a shortcut icon for the program, make sure the "Start in" is set to the program directory in the shortcut properties. What OS is this? October 3, 201312 yr I didn't rename any of the files. It's called QuantumLeap.ini in the folder. I just unzipped everything to it's own folder basically. I'm on Win 7 64 bit. *edit* Problem solved! Turns out QuantumLeap.ini didn't have full security permissions for read/write control. QuantumLeap.exe couldn't find it because it couldn't access it. I added the "Everyone" group in the security tab with all control fields checked and was able to look up waypoints. Don't know why I didn't check this before. I guess this just goes to show we take everything for granted, as in files being security ready even on a 64 bit OS like Win 7. Nope! Gotta check! Thanks for all your help with the troubleshooting. October 27, 201312 yr I think I've thanked before but I'll do it again. This is such a nice tool to have when you want to fly the long distances and heavy takeoffs and can not afford to spend the hours. Or the excitement of using 8x and hoping everything is going well. :Whew: Now I can take off, cruise a few miles, jump to some 400nm before my destination and fly the rest or anything in between.
