FSX Shared Aircraft

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I am trying to set up FSX in network mode, local multiplayer, basically for being able to monitor my flights from the TV downstairs..

Ive been trying to get it to work, but in all instances, the "join aircraft" button is always grayed out.

Ive seen several posts and tutorials here and elsewhere, a lot of people mention the problem, but I could not find an answer? Is this possible at all?

The only way to do it is to have FSx installed on 2 seperate computers

Yeah, I know, I guess I forgot to say that my TV downstairs of course has a PC with FSX installed, my question is specific about the issue of the Join Aircraft button being grayed-out.

Be sure that the 'Join my aircraft' option is checked on the host machine and UNchecked on the other machine

Yeah, I got it to work by selecting the number of players to be exactly two, and by waiting for the second computer before starting the flight.
