Unable to print all PMDG 777 Manuals

Recommended Posts

On 9th September 2013 I bought, downloaded and installed PMDG 777. All worked fine. After installation 6 manuals are available under Flight Manuals. Out of the 6, I am only able to print the Tutorial and the Introduction Manual. The other manuals seemed to be protected. When I choose print, the tab print is greyed in. Is there a possibility to print also these manuals ?

Thanks Kudi1934

The manuals you refer to are Boeing documents - FCOMv1, FCOMv2, ORH, FCTM not PMDG documents like the introdction and tutorial. You cannot print Boeing documents. Just read them on your monitor.

As mentioned earlier, they are copy-written and must be used only on your computer. You can however order the printed manuals from PMDG which are very high in quality and very nice.

Otherwise use your google-fu

Funny you can't print something you CAN buy printed... Is that logic? I guess it's pure €£¥$ interest... But what company wouldn't do that?

Having said that, I wonder how many even read the pdf's except the tutorials and intro documents? For my part, I only have time to fly the 777 and wish I had more time for doing more...!

On another note, having an iPad is a great way to have the PDF's beside you while flying...

You can do a google search for programs that will print PDFs regardless of their protection status... If I think of the name I'll let you know.

There are actually a lot of people on here that read through the manuals so they know the proper way to fly the 777. PMDG doesn't just include the manuals for fun. They are there so we can learn the airplane.

I am pretty sure that the "normal" PMDG customers that can afford to pay this software, are people with family and a job with little time to read the humongous amount of tech stuff, except of course, the introduction and the tutorials.

Happy new year!

I do have all my manuals on my iPad.  Helps to have them available while flying and also helps to justify the cost of the iPad at least a little bit.
