While I do often get annoyed by the incorrect manufacturer entries, I realize it's probably a licensing issue.

That came to my mind too, when I read more and more replies to this thread. But does that make it necessary for the developers of those aircraft to put their own name into the "manufacturer" entry? I think it would be better if they just left out the manufacturer and only put the company name into the "developer" section - which is the obvious purpose of that section.

The problem is that you'd only be able to sort by "Publisher", and you'd get a blank item in the "Aircraft manufacturer" list... Well, neither option is ideal, which leaves us with having to edit CFG files manually...
