September 17, 201312 yr Picked that up today, to replace the Aerosoft Budapest....... this one is STUNNING! I tell you, with this airport and Drzewiecki's Polish Airports and standalone Krakow EPKK, there is some stunning flying to be done in Eastern Europe now!
September 17, 201312 yr Been following the development for a while, worth getting as well as his others.
September 18, 201312 yr How are the frames? FlyTampa-like? Looks spectacular though, I'll be flying around Europe now that I repurchased the QW146. September 18, 201312 yr can anyone explain the thing with moving jetways, gsx and aes? I understand that sometimes gsx/aes conflict with moving jetways? And what exactly are these aes credit thingies? would love to know.. thanks.
September 18, 201312 yr Moving Jetways? +1? AES-supported, but AES has to be updated first. How are the frames? FlyTampa-like? Looks spectacular though, I'll be flying around Europe now that I repurchased the QW146. It's a huge airport area, will cost you some VAS and some frames, but it still looks great with somewhat lower settings. (May be influenced by the fact that I run LHS LHBP on top of Aerosoft Budapest City.) The night lighting is amazing - looks just like in the advertising screenshots! What happened to AVSIM
September 18, 201312 yr It's amazing how they modelled the interior of the airport buildings in 3D?How hard is it on frames exactly? If I can get 30 FPS on Aerosoft Mega Airports then how much will I lose/gain on this airport? Arjen Vandervelde
September 18, 201312 yr It's amazing how they modelled the interior of the airport buildings in 3D? How hard is it on frames exactly? If I can get 30 FPS on Aerosoft Mega Airports then how much will I lose/gain on this airport? With the same performance as Mega Aerosoft Düsseldorf (EDDL) LHS LHBP looks way better. can anyone explain the thing with moving jetways, gsx and aes? I understand that sometimes gsx/aes conflict with moving jetways? And what exactly are these aes credit thingies? would love to know.. thanks. GSX moves default FSX jetways only. AES-supported airports replace the default jetways by ones which can be moved by AES (only). LHS LHBP jetways can only be moved by AES, as soon as AES gets updated with LHS LHBP. (Not yet with the current version.) UK2000 airports have an option in the installer to either install default ones or AES-supported ones. For AES, download the (free) basepack from either Aerosoft or from Simmarket. Install it and use Nuremberg (EDDN) as a demo airport to explore AES functions. You'll also get the manuals with the basepack, which explain the credit stuff. GSX also offers a demo version. What happened to AVSIM
September 18, 201312 yr Install it and use Nuremberg (EDDN) as a demo airport to explore AES functions. To add what Oliver said above, there are quite a few other airports as well on which AES works for free IIRC, there's a comprehensive table of all airports supported by AES and the number of credits necessary to activate it there. Florian
September 18, 201312 yr To add what Oliver said above, there are quite a few other airports as well on which AES works for free IIRC, there's a comprehensive table of all airports supported by AES and the number of credits necessary to activate it there. Florian simply HAD to mention this as at least three freeware AES-airports are Austrian ... A number of freeware airports are AES-supported (and also payware airports which need zero credits to work with AES). With EDDN you don't need to install any other (freeware) airports. The "demo" works with both default and Aerosoft EDDN. What happened to AVSIM
September 18, 201312 yr Hey Olli - When I was using Aerosoft Mega Airport Budapest I found the photo image of the city a real frame rate hog; surprisingly more so than the airport itelf. As you'll know the airport and the photoimage have different entries in the Scenery Library and when I deactivated the Budapest photoimage I got a fantastic frame boost. So my point being, if you are still using the Aerosoft Budapest photo image with the LH Simulations LHBP, you are probaby seeing a FPS penalty from the Aerosoft photoimage. I am using only the LH Simulations LHBP now (with FTXG taking care of the surrounding area which it does quite well), and have fantastic frames - very on par with FlyTampa. In fact if you looked at this airport and didn't know who had made it, you would swear it was FlyTampa IMHO.
September 18, 201312 yr Thanks, Dave. So my 'disclaimer' was needed and I'll try the 'standalone' version of LHS next time ... What happened to AVSIM
