Sounds more like a permanent price drop than a sale.....looks like a sale on the DVD's though. JV on the orbx forum never used the word sale....though he didn't explicitly state that it was a permanent reduction.

No, I think it was no more pre order.  I remember people pre ordered the new product (cant remember what it was now), then it went on sale, then the store had a sale for cheaper what the pre ordered people paid for it.

 

The flight sim store can, and has done sales since.  I think 15 percent or something along that line.

the thing was.....after some faithful customers prepaid to get the lower price on upcoming released the same software went on sale (Christmas) not long after released at a lower price compare to the prepaid one, a bunch of faithful customers got upset for GOOD reasons...and that's when JV said "No more sales", and now HE instructed FlightSim to lower their prices....

 

Look like they need cash flow or they need to sale more FTX: EU England....= the same.

They (JV) announced in their preview screenshots section that Russ White was busy on the first of a new line of EU GA fields that were all going to be 15 bucks,  I think this is just to align the older EU GA fields with the new pricing so they wouldn't have similar airfields priced at different levels.   And I don't think they sold a lot of them initially, since they were dealing with a market that largely owned the UK2000 stuff already.

Who cares, I'm buying! Always a sucker for a sale! I've never been an early adpoter, as a result I'm not a beta tester of buggy products and usually get a nice discount whenever I decide to add something new to my collection.
