Did you mess around with Data Execution Prevention (DEP)?

Best regards,

Jim

Hey Jim,

I never mess around with  Data Execution Prevention (DEP).

But I will try to replicate the problem again and get a fresh crash log.

Thanks,

Kelvin

I think it might be AS2012 causing my fsx to freeze I use real world weather.

I also play on vatsim at the same time using squawk box.

Hi Kelvin,

The following so-called "tweaks" can only be hurting your system.  Comment them out by putting two slashes (//) in front of the lines as I show below:

[GRAPHICS]
//ForceFullScreenVSync=1
//ForceWindowedVSync=1
TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=2048 (this doesn't make sense.  The default is 1024.  2048 is HD.  You have LOD_Radius set to 3.5.  You cannot do HD very well at 3.5.  Recommend you return this to the default at least until your problem is fixed).

//[bufferPools]
//RejectThreshold=131072  (this command cannot stand alone.  It must be used with the Poolsize command.  This alone could be causing you all of your problems).

[Main]
//FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.2  (this so-called tweak is definitely a fps killer).
HideInfoText=1  Add this tweak.  Might help FPS.
DisablePreload=1  Add this tweak.  Might help FPS.

[Display]
TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=40
//TextureMaxLoad=12  (this command is useless and only creates issues with your video card display.  Delete it.)
UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=20  (recommend this be moved to 24 or 25.
WideViewAspect=False  (change this to True as it looks like your monitor is a wideview).

[TERRAIN]
LOD_RADIUS=3.500000  (recommend you move this to the max - 4.5).
WATER_EFFECTS=3  (if you are not flying over water a lot, this is okay but I would move it up to a 4 or 5.  Nothing higher though!!).
[scenery]
//SmallPartRejectRadius=4.0  (this can be a FPS killer)

I do not know your system specs but, by looking at your video card, your system does not look very powerful.  You are just going to have to keep low settings until you can get a more powerful system. Try to keep your settings close to what FSX gave you when you first started up FSX (those are your defaults).  You won't be able to get to the eye-candy stuff until you upgrade your system.

Best regards,
Jim

Hey Jim,

I completed 2 flight with no problems with your recommendations for my CFG. I did notice improvements in performance with my sim.

This is the least Crash report I got on my 3rd attempt:

Remove sbtrans10.dll from your main SquawkBox folder (this remove your transponder from  FSX), run SquawkBox outside your sim with admin rights. This alone should give you more FPS and could increase FSX stability.
