Remote computer and on/off switch

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I use RAAS in my full cockpit simulator and am using different computers for the different sound sources and would like to know if it is possible to run RAAS on a networked computer so that I can control which speaker the sound should come from.

Also would like to know if there is an offset or other means to turn off or mute RAAS?

Hi Pat,

1. Not possible to run on another computer.  RAAS sits in the ADDONS menu in FSX.

2. There's an SDK, but it's for C programmers only.  There's no FSUIPC offset to mute RAAS, etc.

Cheers,

Hi Bryan,

I am also having a full cockpit environment using RAAS and would like to play the sounds on a different PC than the one where FS is running on. I know that this is not possible right now.

Maybe you are thinking of an upgrade or a kind of networked version which enables RAAS to run on a remote PC via WideFS? I think there quite some users that would like to use RAAS in this way?

Thanks

Stefan

Hello,

Just wanted to check if there would be any possibility that you could make an offset or some other hardware feature for muting the RAAS system.

Sincerely

Patrik

The next build will have the option to turn on/off the RAAS Master switch via a Keypress.
