KernelBase.dll error

Recommended Posts

Just started recently when trying to start ASE, the program crashes.

Appcrashview shows the crash is from the KernelBase.dll. module.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

Thanks

Arnold

Most likely caused by User profile corruption - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile (this is for Vista but it works for Windows 7 too).  So, basically you need to set up a new User and then copy the files from your old user name to the new one.

Of course, another solution would be to reinstall Windows and FSX or

uninstall ASE, run a registry cleaner like CCleaner, run FSX at least once, then reinstall ASE.

Best regards,

Jim

Thanks for your help, I took option 2. I uninstalled ASE, ran CCleaner, run FSX, and reinstalled ASE.

It now works like it should.

Thanks again
