multiple plane usage with linda

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am wanting to use linda to program my vrinsight

Button and switch module as well as other switch panels.

I am a novice with linda. If I label the buttons and switches for

For the twin otter for example, what hapens when I switch

To another aircraft. Are those labels that I made no good

With new aircraft or am I restricted to programming only those

Buttons and switches that are common to both.

Thx Lee

Hi Lee

Each Aircraft has is own profile.

Some assignement can be common like those for FSX aircraft.

If you change aircraft, the profile of the aircraft you choose is automaticaly selected.

Thx for you quick response. I was asking if I actually

Label the buttons and switches for a particular aircraft,

Then switch to another than only the ones that both have

In common are useful. Is this correct?

The recomended advice is to first assign all your needed functions to a FSX standard plane (gear, flaps, lights, battery, etc) This is then the basis for all other addons you use, unless you change then something.

So, as example, FSX gear will work for most addons, so once assigned to a FSX standard plane, you could use it for all your addon planes too.

Then switch to another than only the ones that both have
In common are useful. Is this correct?

This, to be honest, I do not understand ...

Guenter

Im refering to the labelling of the actual button or switch on the device. Since

Differenr aircraft have different controls for their particular functions, I guess I have

To have enough hardware switches to cover all the controls

I need. Is this correct or is there another strategy for having buttons

And switches for multiple planes. Thanks for your patience

hmmm. I'm not sure if I could completely follow ... sorry

You make once your FSX standard assignments and then you could assign for each addon what you like ...

On switch A you can have for the 777 the nav light.

On switch A for the 737 you could choose landing light or APU or whatever ...

Is this what you wanted to know?
