N1 cruise observation

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just half way through a flight VHHX to NZAA amazing how far you can get using cruise compression in just a few hours!

So I noticed a slight side wind coming from the starboard side of only 13Kts, but at the same time N1 for engine 1 is 100% but N1 for engine 2 is only 77% at FL330. Is this something that would happen in a real 777 with it being such a large aircraft when in the cruise or is it something unusual with the PMDG777.

Just interested as it's flying along fine but never noticed this with any other aircraft.

Happy Flying,

Dave Phillips.

No. Both engines should have close to same N1. Something else is going on.

Hi Dan,

Thanks I guess I'll have to look for a reason they are doing that then!
