So I finally got my new computer (ill post about that soon) and I am ready to install FSX but have a quick question:

I have 2 HDD's on my computer, a 500GB HD and a 2TB HD. currently I have Windows 7 Ultimate and all my other non simulation software on the 500GB HD. I dont have anything on the 2TB one except some documents and stuff. So, should I install FSX and all the addons I have (over 15 aircraft addons, a lot of scenery) and I have alot of other software on my wishlist for FSX on the 2TB HD by itself, or the 500GB HD with all the other software.

Generally speaking, I like to install MSFS on a separate drive from the OS. But...it also depends on the HDD config--if your 500GB drive is significantly faster (e.g. SATA III vs SATA II, 7200 RPM vs 5400 RPM, 64MB cache vs 32 MB cache etc) it may make sense to put FSX on the 500GB drive. My entire FSX install (20+ aircraft add-ons, and over 100 scenery addons) fits easily on a 300GB SSD. Now if you're planning to load up on photoscenery, then a large HDD is a must-have.
