October 15, 201312 yr Here is my config is anyone can help me get the best fps, I dont really understand that much this side of things: Look up at post #10 on this thread and try those settings. Add Bufferpools and you really need to lower your traffic amounts to get a large jump in performance.
October 15, 201312 yr Can't you just set an affinity mask that ignores the HT cores with the same result as turning off HT in bios? Many other programs can heavily benefit from HT, especially if you are planing on making FSX videos when it comes time to do the final cut crunch. October 15, 201312 yr I agree on the traffic. Craig your traffic settings are probably killing you. Go into FSX and lower all your traffic settings to 5 and then work up from there. Your fsx.cfg looks nearly stock so I would try this before adding or tweaking anything else. Steve McNitt
October 15, 201312 yr With HT on, AM=84 is the same as AM=14 with HT off, As far as core usage goes. Dave
October 16, 201312 yr To be honest mate Im not too sure the figure but I have everything set on max with unlimited fps and runs superbly!
February 17, 201412 yr While this treat is almost 6 months old, I have to admit I do have the same problem over FTX UK. Elstree is a pain in the a$#.FPS are very low at this airport. I have no idea why just this small airport has so much impact on the fps while others don't. Southampton has great fps with much more AI traffic. Maybe there is a bug in the scenry causing this, but I was not able to locate the problem.
February 17, 201412 yr Does running DX10 really make that much of a performance difference on older rigs? Does DX10 cause issues with FS9 A.I. like WOAI AC? What's is this v-sync tweak I keep hearing about? Thanks all! Chris Camp
