Recommended Posts

On vanilla FSX, around the globe, which cities have the best, building populated skylines?

Never really thought about this, but I believe Seattle is pretty good (but pretty demanding at high settings), and Sydney isn't bad either. And don't forget New York(but again, performance suffers easily)!

Chicago, Rio, Seattle, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo aren't bad either...

Boston, Osaka, Taipei, Vancouver, Philadelphia, Rio, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, San Francisco, Toronto, Montreal off the top of my head are some of my favourite cities for take-off and landing.

Washiington D.C. -- and default Washington National KDCA is not a bad airport - very close to the real thing with respect to terminal and general layout and its setting on the banks of the Potomac River.

+1 for Seattle (no surprise since MS is situated nearby). Did a short low and slow clip the other day to showcase FTXG at dusk but it captures the Seattle skyline pretty nicely:

FSX features 28 default high-detail cities (not sure, whether this figure is for the standard or the deluxe edition). I would start with those ...   B)
