Recommended Posts

Has anyone found a workaround to get SweetFX working with Win 8.1, or are we out of luck until ceejay releases an update?

Thanks

Works for me in both modes.

Mind sharing how you got it to work in DX10. For me it only works in dx9

Indeed, please share. As I have tried just about everything in the books.

I have no idea how or why.  It just works.   I'm running it on a laptop with a 745M graphics card.

If you tell me what and where the efx.ini is and what you mean my "hooks" I'll try and give you an answer.

the efx.ini file should be in the root directory of your FSX installation.

Sweetfx in win8.1 - DX9 - is in my case only running via Radeon Pro Injection. This is a freeware Tool and useful too, if you have a Nvidia Card.

So is the only way to get sweetfx working in DX9 to use RadeonPro?  How did some of you get it to work with FSX and Win8.1?
