I'm seriously not trying to be a jerk, but if you were to use an internet search engine such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. it will provide you a link as well.

Umm... your comment kinda does make you a jerk and to qoute Plato under your name "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." ~ Plato ...you just put yourself into the "fools" catagory. But seriously, I'm not trying to be a jerk. I hope people like you dont stop people from asking simple questions without fearing the risk of a wisecrack response .But seriously, I'm not trying to be a jerk.

So, trying to help someone help themselves in the future classifies me as a jerk.

In context of this avsim FORUM I would say yes.Otherwise what are the forums for?

Dirk.

And while we are at it: can I install the newest version over the previous one?

Thanks,

Dirk.

I'm not sure what the official guidance is, but when I did it I reverted to DX9 with the fixer (so it would put everything back to default), uninstalled the old version, then installed the newest version.

That worked fine for me with no hiccups.

The official guidance for DX10 fixer updates is described in detail in

"The official DX10 Scenery Fixer Support Forum" here in AVSIM, see 2nd pinned topic.

I recommend to follow these explanation.
