I fired up this sim after installing the new release and I have to say-this just may be my favorite sim at this time.

After 26 years of flying, hanging it up for a number of reasons I want to simulate what actually got me into flying-the love of seeing geography from above, the beauty one can only see from an airplane -and the just fun, fun and excitement of flying. This sim just captures all of that.

I have to say-twiddling dials in the real airplane-flight planing, checklists, doing instrument landings at minimums-all part of the rw experience. But the one I have always savored is the view, the sounds, coming into a little airport close to swaying trees at the end of the threshold, landing on a grass field-opening the window and smelling the grass along with some avfuel (well maybe not yet on a sim).

This sim simply captures the FUN of flying better than any right now. I get a big smile on my face every time I try it-and yes nothing more tedious than trying to tune a radio on a flat screen computer with a mouse or punch a gps-kinda ruins the experience for me. FMS-my eyes glaze over-that isn't flying imho either in a sim or rw.

Good to hear from you Geof.  I, too, am enjoying Aerofly.  Because of the limited scenery, I still put FSX first, but Aerofly is t real joy for a change.

Hope all is well with you.

Stan
