Cancun int'l (default)

Recommended Posts

Well,

I have a simple question.

Can somebody start a flight at MMUN with the default Cessna and report his/her framerate here?

The reason for me asking this: my own setup runs quite stable at 30 frames (give or take a few). Even with the medium to high addon aircraft, my system manages framerates in mid twenties.

However, when I use the default airport at Cancun (MMUN) my system grinds to a halt and I see framerates of single digits...

And I cannot figure out why...

Luc,

I started on MMUN flying a couple of times around Cancun and a few landings.

With my AC68 Commander and the whole time 30 fps.

I don't have a top comp. i have Quad CPU  Q9550 2.83GHz and NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT 1 GB.

Hoop this help,Jan

Well,

I am pretty sure that I have no freeware stuff for that part of the world.

Though I have to admit that I installed those "15 airports for FSX" from Tropicalsim last night.

However, with or without those airports active, I still only have single digits when starting (or arriving) at Cancun.

I even uninstalled the airports today but that didn't help either.

And with the package installed, only Cancun has this problem.... (sitting on the runway, framerates start at 10 or 12 and start dropping of until they reach 1.)

Since you guys don't seem to have any problems, It has to be something on my side of things. All ideas welcome.

Thanks for looking into this for me.

OK,

Here I am again...

What is the biggest problem one can encounter in Flight simulation?

Yes... way too much software

Oliver nailed it fair and square.... A double scenery of Cancun which I failed to notice and voila, one PC on its knees.

I removed the double scenery and all is well again.

Thanks guys
