STAR discontinuity problem

Recommended Posts

On my route between EGLL and KSFO i was programming the fmc for my approach into runway 28R via the GOLDN5 STAR and noticed that there was a discontinuity between my last waypoint and the first waypoint on the STAR. I tried deleting the discontinuity but it said it was an invalid delete. I don't know what to do can someone tell me what is wrong?

It's normal! Just copy your ILS approach to the scratch pad and then paste it on the discontinuity row - problem solved! Plenty of videos on youtube address this issue. Personally I keep the discontinuity for landing on EGNT as it allows me to manually control my approach vector etc.

Good luck.
